The mission of Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble is to entertain, educate and enrich our circle of local communities by offering diverse and quality theatrical experiences.

Did you know that ticket sales only account for 30-40% of a community theatre company's income? We rely on your donations and support to fund every theatrical season, but it is especially important this year. Because it is our inaugural season, we have the additional costs of all of the startup fees that come with creating a non-profit.

A Place of Learning

Our goal is to connect two communities: Those with gifts to give, and those with needs to be met. People who need a mentor and volunteers who desire to improve the life of one person at a time. One by one, we serve the Brentwood community, as well as the surrounding area, by working to meet the educational needs of all. This includes all those at risk, with learning disabilities, those struggling with English as a second language, as well as those who just need to believe in themselves. We seek to assist and work cooperatively with the other institutions, public and private, in meeting these goals. Primarily we serve as an after school tutor program for children in need of academic assistance. Each child is paired with a tutor of their own who will serve as their own personal tutor for a full academic school year.

Adventure Therapy Foundation

Adventure Therapy Foundation began in the summer of 2018, a year after our founder Lauren, met a stranger in an airport who engaged her in conversation, listened to her journey through cancer and asked her, “What do you want to do with your story?” This question sent Lauren on a search through Yosemite to answer that, and she found the beginning of a dream. A dream to “Use adventure to help those impacted by cancer to escape the emotional “rut” that occurs after treatment.” Adventure Therapy Foundation was founded, and here we are years later, and hundreds of individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis have been helped through the mine-field of emotions, into a place of healing and restoration.

Hijas del Campo

Hijas del Campo (HDC), which translates to Daughters of the Field, was founded in the Fall of 2020 by four East County mom’s who recognized the marginalization and lack of services available specifically to migrant farmworkers and their families during the COVID 19 pandemic and wildfire season. These four women, all of whom are daughters of Mexican immigrant farmworkers, immediately began distributing personal protective equipment (PPE), food, water, and other necessities directly to farmworkers.
